Leslie contributes an essay “Topography and Entrapment in Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s ‘The Yellow Wallpaper.’”

Peter Straub has declared it “A beautiful and courageous journal.”

Happy to report that my story “October Dreams” — originally published in Supernatural Tales 22 — has been selected to appear in The Mammoth Book of Best New Horror #24. Very gratifying. I had 2 stories appear in volume 21 of this series.

Briefly, I’ve updated the submission page to reflect a new reading period and my needs for non-fiction.

As well, happy to report that Robert Shearman’s story “Bedtime Stories for Yasmin,” was given an Honorable Mention (Short List), in The Best Horror of the Year, Vol. 5. Given that 2 stories from issue 3 will be reprinted in the volume, I’m very pleased. Hopefully some of the other worthy tales will garner some recognition, as well.

Black Static magazine

For years, Black Static (and its predecessor, The Third Alternative) has been my favourite horror magazine. It was a major impetus to get me to start Shadows & Tall Trees. It’s a journal I hold in the highest regard. So, I’m very pleased to have a story appear in its pages. Issue 33 is now out and features my tale ‘Turn the Page.’ You should subscribe. It’s a terrific magazine.
